If you have ever had to come up with a band name, you know that finding a "unique", unused name is not easy. So when the post-Rock n Roll Fantasy Camp recording effort began in 2015, there had to be a name to represent this emerging body of work to the public.

At that same time, my home studio was new (inspired by RRFC counselor Joe Vitale) and needed a name as well...so I searched my psyche for images, names, concepts from my past that I could blend into a name. As a Disney, paranormal, and aerospace fan, Pizza Planet sounded cool, I loved the graphics (green/black) from the X Files, and have always been a big Star Wars fan (especially Return Of The Jedi). From these ideas and images, the studio name was born, "Green Planet Studios".

Since every GPP track recorded is a combination of different musicians, this was definitely not a band, but rather a remote community of interested, talented musicians, taking part in recording "projects". Thus our name "The Green Planet Project"....just like Joe Perry and Alan Parsons :-)
